Hearty Italian Sausage Soup

Foods
1 pound ground Italian Sausage
1 onion chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Olive Oil
2 cans (14-ounces each) 25% Less Sodium Chicken Broth
1 soup can water
1 can (15-ounce) cannellini beans, rinsed
1 can (14.5-ounce) stewed tomatoes, undrained
1 cup rotini pasta, uncooked
1½ cups baby spinach
½ cup KRAFT 2% Milk Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
PREMIUM Saltine crackers
Cook sausage, onions and garlic in oil in large saucepan for
10 minutes, stirring frequently.
Add the next 4 ingredients. Bring to a boil. Stir in
pasta; cook 8 minutes or until tender. Remove from heat.
Stir in spinach; cover. Let stand 5 minutes. Top with
cheese.
Serve with Saltine crackers.
Makes 10 servings.

Your pictures show carrots in the soup, but they are not mentioned in the recipe. Not many spices mentioned, is this an oversight?
ReplyDeleteThere are no carrots pictured in the soup. Most of the flavor comes from the sausage, onion and garlic but you can certainly add spices if you prefer more flavor. I only add salt and pepper.
